Parasaurolphus walkeri
Parasaurolphus walkeri
Parasaurolophus was a genus of herbivorous hadrosaurid dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 76-73 million years ago. Recognizable by its distinctive, backward-curving cranial crest, this feature likely served various purposes, including vocalization, thermoregulation, and species recognition. Parasaurolophus measured around 31 feet (9.5 meters) in length and weighed about 2.5 tons. Fossils have been discovered in North America, notably in Alberta, Canada, and New Mexico, USA.
